Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries

Daily bread, lasting relationships

Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries links practical assistance with an explicitly Christian mentoring model.

The Short Version

A Christian ministry combining essential resources with family and student mentoring across the Hill Country.

Resources delivered through relationships

Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries organizes its work around both material needs and continuing relationships. Based in Boerne, it supplies partner churches, nonprofits and civic organizations with resources such as food, clothing, diapers and household necessities. Its programs reach an eight-county Hill Country service area.

Its Family Mentoring Program works through churches that become continuing points of support for families. Stand By Me serves students from kindergarten through twelfth grade with Christian mentors and case management. The ministry's faith commitments are central to its approach to both practical assistance and continuing relationships.

A wider picture of local support

The organization also lists disaster relief and seasonal programs, recognizing that family needs include emergencies as well as birthdays, holidays and school-year transitions. Its 2025 impact figures report seven million dollars in distributed products and 4,688 volunteers in service.

Executive Director and Co-Founder Agnes Hubbard and Donor Development Director Bonnie Finley lead the ministry. Financial gifts, donated products and volunteer service contribute to a model that joins resource distribution with continuing personal support. Local churches are part of that connection, carrying the ministry's explicitly Christian approach into its family and student programs. Participation therefore supports both practical assistance and the relationships around it.
