Jim and Julia at Aspermont

James Albert “Jim” Perry married Julia Mae Riddle at Aspermont on June 15, 1913. Their children included Raymond and Otis Perry.

The family register places Jim and Julia’s household near Raymond and Euna Mae in the 1940 census. Several generations were living within the same Stonewall County farming world.

One family, more than one generation

Jim belongs between the older Perry migration and the ranch childhood remembered by Wanda. The portrait with Julia and the harvest group preserve him both within a household and among the people at work.
